how this works

Process & Terms

A plain-English walkthrough of what happens at each step, how payment works, and the fine print — so there are no surprises on either side.

step by step

How working together goes

Step 1

Free chat consultation

Fill out the form on the Services page — your preferences, budget, dates, and anything else that matters. I read every one myself.

Step 2

I build your itinerary

Based on the package you choose, I put together a detailed, easy-to-follow spreadsheet itinerary and send it over by email for your review.

Step 3

You approve (or ask for changes)

Take your time. If something doesn't feel right, tell me and I'll adjust it — this is your trip, planned around how you actually like to travel.

Step 4 (optional)

Full booking & travel host

Want me to book everything (+15%), or join you in person as a travel host? Once a planning package is paid for, these become available — including a private scheduling link for live calls, sent directly to you.

Step 5

Payment

I'll send a payment request once the itinerary (or add-on service) is approved, via Wise, PayPal, or e-transfer — whichever's easiest for you.

Payment & booking terms

How you pay

All payments are handled directly between us via Wise, PayPal, or e-transfer — no card details are ever collected on this website. I'll send you a payment request once your itinerary or service is confirmed.

When payment is due

Itinerary planning fees are due once you approve the final itinerary, before I begin any booking on your behalf. The travel host fee is due before travel dates are confirmed.

Changes after booking

Once bookings are made, changes may involve airline, hotel, or vendor change/cancellation fees outside of my control — I'll always tell you what those are before making any change on your behalf.

Cancellation & refunds

Itinerary planning

If you cancel before I've started building your itinerary, you'll receive a full refund. Once work has begun, the planning fee is non-refundable, since that time has already been spent on your behalf.

Full booking service

The 15% booking fee is refundable if cancelled before any bookings are made. Once bookings exist, any airline/hotel/ vendor refund rules apply on top of this fee.

Travel host

Cancellations more than 30 days before travel are refunded in full, minus any non-refundable costs already paid on your behalf (like my own flights). Inside 30 days, please reach out directly — I'll work with you on what's fair given the circumstances.

A few important disclaimers

Not a licensed travel agency

Deathbed Memories is an independent travel consulting service, not a licensed travel agency or tour operator. I plan and recommend — you make the final call on what you book and how you travel.

Your responsibility

You're responsible for having valid travel documents (passport, visas), any required vaccinations, travel insurance, and for checking your destination's entry requirements before you go. I'll flag anything I notice, but the final check is yours.

Things outside my control

Weather, flight delays, closures, political situations, and similar events can affect any trip. I plan thoughtfully, but I can't guarantee outcomes outside my control, and I'm not liable for losses caused by these kinds of events.
